Founded in 2001, Western Veterinary Specialist & Emergency Centre is dedicated to serving the needs of Western Canadian veterinarians and pet owners, offering referral-only state-of-the-art veterinary services at one of the largest, most comprehensive facilities of its kind in Canada.
Advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services are provided by specialists in the disciplines of surgery, anesthesiology, medical imaging, internal medicine, ophthalmology, and oncology. All specialists are Diplomates in good standing of their respective specialty colleges, having successfully completed accredited residency training and examination requirements.
Many, if not most, of our patients present with complex problems that require the expertise of specialists in more than one field. We believe in and promote teamwork and communication between specialists to promote the best possible patient care.
During and after treatment of your pet at Western Veterinary Specialist & Emergency Centre, we provide a written and, in most cases, a verbal report to your family's veterinarian. We also provide a written and verbal summary of the care received by your pet, as well as ongoing care instructions, to you at the time of release from the hospital.
